Klub Equest offers private riding tuition, catering for all standards, from the beginner rider to those with more experience and requiring advanced lessons.
The beginner lessons will last approx. 45 minutes, to include: learning how to mount the horse, the correct riding position, walking, starting, stopping, how to ask the horse or pony to turn, and introducing the rising trot.
The more advanced lessons will last for an hour. Once the rising trot has been established these lessons will include an introduction to school movements and cantering.
The jumping lessons for the beginner will include pole work and grids. The more advanced riders will be jumping courses and preparing for competitions.
The lunge lessons are catered for all lessons, as they improve the rider’s position. Exercises with and without stirrups will be included in the 30-minute session.
The hacks are usually for a duration of 1 hour to 1½ hours. We have the option of staying on site and riding along the rivers and in to our woodland that also has a few logs that can be jumped on the way. For the more advanced riders we also have numerous bridle paths around the area.
Pony day, Children can come along and spend the day with their favourite pony. The day starts at 10am with mucking out and poo picking, they will then collect the pony from the field and have a 1 hour riding lesson. Bring a packed lunch and stay for more fun in the afternoon. Get picked up at 2pm.
Birthday parties, we also host birthday parties at Klub Equest. The party lasts for two hours either in the morning or the afternoon. The first hour is spent with the ponies in the menage where the children will be in teams playing games. The second hour is spent untacking and grooming the ponies back at the stables. We take a maximum of 10 children and a minimum of 4.
Pony Club Day; We are a Pony Club centre and in the school holidays we hold pony club days. They are 2 hour sessions of stable management to include; grooming, bandaging, plaiting etc. When the children are ready they can do their achievement badges and progressive riding tests.
