Yard Owner- Jose Lewis was born in Holland but moved to England with her family while still in junior school. Jose’s father operated a stable yard and Jose has been riding and looking after horses since the age of 6. She gained a BSc in Equine Studies from Writtle Agricultural College and was a member of the College’s show jumping team. Jose was then invited to work with ‘Jan van Kooten’, a major international equestrian company, preparing horses for sale in the USA, working to the highest standards of horse management, grooming and riding skills.

In 2003 Jose started Klub Equest and has since worked to expand the business. Jose has gained her BHSAI certificate, and Klub Equest is a fully registered and certificated riding school with the capability to offer riding lessons at all skill levels.

Yard Manager - Lucy Gooderham joined Klub Equest in March 2011. She has vast experience of working with horses and competing at a high level in showing and side saddle. As well as the day to day running of the business and mentoring Tara, Lucy is working towards her BHS Stage 3 and PTT Exam.

Yard Assistant - Tara Ashton joined Klub Equest in October 2008. She has gained her NVQ2 in Equine Studies at Otley College. Tara helps lucy with the day to day running of the yard and schools the horses and ponies.

Instructors - We have a portfolio of experienced and qualified teaching staff who teach during the week and throughout our busy weekends.
